One of the earlier best products in Web Analytics was NetGenesis. It was purchased in 2001 by SPSS, I guess in an effort for the company to get involved in the web data sphere. BTW, have you noticed that none of the big BI companies ever seriously got into that market? So, according to the rumor, SPSS has sent comunications to their clients on that solution that they would no longer support it. It seems SPSS is dumping NetGenesis as a product. They still refer to a part of that technology in their web data collection methodology, though.
Anyone with some more information about this?
